David Burns has over 30 years of high-tech engineering, marketing, sales, business development, and executive experience. Prior to joining Induct, Burns was CEO of Internet security vendor 2Factor, search vendor Deovo, and desktop search vendor Copernic. While at Copernic, he was responsible for the introduction of the highly awarded Copernic Desktop Search. During his time as CEO, company valuation was increased 2.5 times and the company was sold to search vendor Mamma.com for $23M.
Burns spent more than five years at Fast Search & Transfer (FAST), where he was the original CEO of FAST Inc., the US operating company of Norway’s FAST ASA. FAST was recently sold to Microsoft for $1.3B. While at FAST, he was a driving force behind the company’s AllTheWeb.com search engine, which was sold to Overture (later bought by Yahoo) for $70M.
Previous to FAST, Burns served as the original Director of Product Marketing for search portal Lycos, one of the top ten Internet sites in the world at the time. During a period of explosive growth for Lycos, he was responsible for a Lycos product suite used by millions of people around the world every day. Prior to joining Lycos, Burns held several senior management positions in leading high-tech computer hardware, software, and networking companies.
David holds a dual Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from the University of Connecticut, and an MBA in Marketing from Babson College (ranked #1 undergraduate program in the U.S. for Entrepreneurship by US News and World Report Magazine).

Alf Martin Johansen - Founder and Executive Chairman
Alf Martin Johansen has over ten years of experience working in executive and senior financial and consulting roles for both large and small companies. He is a true “Value Chaser,” and is constantly scanning the environment for potential problems and challenges for which he can develop creative solutions.
Prior to founding Induct, Alf was Chief Financial Officer for CMA Contiki AS, Europe’s leading Enterprise Contract Management (ECM) software vendor and the world’s leading ECM software provider to the Oil & Gas/Energy industries. As an independent consultant to a global company, Alf project-managed the migration of transaction-based accounting activities in Belgium, Italy, Norway, Sweden, and Denmark, to a Shared Service Centre (SSC) located in London.
Before working as a consultant, Alf was Assistant Finance Director for Norway’s Fast Search & Transfer ASA, now a fully owned Microsoft subsidiary. In addition, Alf has served as a Board member of one company and Chairman of the Board of two companies. Alf holds a Master of Business and Economics Degree from the Norwegian School of Management, where he has also completed the “Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Silicon Valley” course of study.

Tor Andre has over ten years of experience in software development, and is experienced in the role of the company CTO. He has excellent control of the many ongoing development projects, without losing sight of the strategic objective.
Prior to Induct, Tor Andre founded Touch Mobility AS, a company focusing on distribution of management and security solutions for cell phones used in both the business and domestic markets. The product had great success and was bought by Telenor in 2007. Tor Andre acted as CTO up until the acquisition.
Before Tor Andre founded Touch Mobility AS he worked as a developer in companies focusing on mobile platforms.
Tor Andre holds an IT bachelor in software engineering from Høgskolen i Gjøvik and his knowledge about the process from an idea, through different stages of development ending up with a working software is a great value to Induct.

Kenny Hognestad has worked close to 15 years with business consulting and project management, representing large consulting companies and entrepreneurial start-ups. Since 2004, he specialized in helping companies to improve sales performance. He has a strong track record from more than 25 clients in different industries, and he has demonstrated impact for people in several areas and on many levels.
Kenny holds a Master in Business and Economics from the Norwegian School of Management (BI).
Prior to joining Induct, Kenny was Relation director and Partner in Moementum and Senior consultant in Mercuri International. In these positions, Kenny often demonstrated how experience based learning methodology makes a difference for ambitious organisations aiming to accelerate their performance.
Kenny was hired by Induct in 2011 to take Induct’s global Venture Sales Organisation (VSO) to the next level.
