Induct Innovation Community is a web application designed to promote innovation within organizations as well as on the interface towards customers, clients and partners. The application is designed to achieve this balance in a safe and secure manner.
Induct Innovation Community is flexible and can be adjusted to each individual enterprise or organization, through several configuration options, without having to change the source code. The solution is provided as “Software as a Service” (SaaS), and can be utilized from anywhere in the world through a standard web browser.
Software as a Service (SaaS) is a software distribution model in which applications are hosted by a vendor or service provider and made available to customers over a network, typically the Internet.
Induct Innovation Community is a true 100% web-based SaaS, meaning that there is no hardware to buy, and no software to install, backup or maintain. The Induct solution can be accessed and used from anywhere in the world through a standard web browser. Below are some selected points from our Security and Technology documents.
The objective of Inducts security policy is to ensure business continuity of Induct AS, with subsidiaries, and to minimise risk for the Induct solution by preventing security incidents and reducing their potential impact.
Induct follows an elaborate ISMS document following the ISO 27000 principals
Physical security includes data centres and physical servers for the provided SaaS solution, as well as office facilities and employee workstations. All servers for the Induct solution are located in secure data centres in Norway. The Induct Innovation Community is hosted on dedicated servers which do not share server space with any other applications. The data centre is equipped with a UPS and diesel powered backup power supply, and in case of fire, the Inergen fire suppression system is activated. All servers are monitored and the Induct Security Group is notified instantly if a service should stop to respond.
The Solution is protected with focus on Application Security protocols, Web Application Security, Database distribution, Single Sing On, Backups, Upgrades, IDS and other App and server monitoring systems, OWASP and other security checks.
Data security includes protecting the physical client data in our hosted databases, as User information, Process information, Initiatives information, and logical information hosting. Access levels are defined per initiative type and per process and will be inherited through each process.
Browser support is the practices of determining which combinations of browsers INDUCT support when building the Induct service. This ensures INDUCT’s solutions render in a consistent manner for the most commonly used browsers. This standard applies to web browsers that are being used by the CLIENT on desktop versions of Windows and Mac OS, or mobile versions on Android and iOS. Induct operates with grades of support of most common browsers and the support plan extends different grades of support to different browsers. The grades specify which technology layers must be provided and whether testing must occur.
